Western Digital ratchets up performance and storage capacicty with its latest Raptor.

Western Digital has developed quite a following in the enthusiast community with its first and second generation Raptor hard drives. The next generation Raptor was announced today with a storage capacity of 150GB.  The new drive shares the same 10,000 RPM spindle speed and average seek time of 4.6 ms with its predecessors while also offering up 16MB of cache and a native SATA-150 interface (instead of a PATA to SATA bridge) with NCQ.
