$1499 CAD for the $2300 USD 30" display

Dell Canada has announced another 12-days of deals, which Dell has now become famous for. Among the deals available is yet again the 3007WFP, Dell's mammoth 30" LCD. The deal requires a coupon code, which is available here and time is limited. The 3007WFP is going for $1499 CAD, and available to Canadians only. Start making those Canuck friends again!

I bought a 3007WFP the last time Dell had this sale (for slightly more money), and I can vouch for the display's performance. Maybe now I can go dual 3007WFP!

I swear someone needs to send this to CNN. I don't think the average idi...person has any clue how bad Dell is screwing them.

Awww diddums ;o)

Welcome to the murky waters of international selling. For bloody years now we've seen stuff sold in the UK at such a price versus the same thing in the US that you'd think the exchange rate for the £:$ was 1:1. For some bizarre reason even iTunes is more expensive in the UK than the US. They don't call Britain 'Treasure Island' for nothing.

In all seriousness, stuff like that really f**ks me off but the reason alot of people in the US don't realise is that the US is usually the beneficiary.

I try not to read these sort of deals, as someone else who lives in the UK it's quite depressing as to how cheap items are over the Atlantic. 1300 US dollars is cheaper than a 2405fpw here I think...

Much of it has to do with tariffs and other taxes, you know. If it tweaks you so badly, lobby your elected representatives to start reducing those ridiculous taxes you all pay over there!
