Reason why the RAZR was #1 was because no other manufacturer put out a sleek, slim, light weight phone like motorolla did. Back then (5 yrs ago) it was a very nice phone.

Apple just did the same with the iphone. Its sleek, its handsome, its trendy. Fits their image too.

That, and the fact that the RAZR was/is available from every carrier, whereas most phones are locked into one. I would have an iPhone, despite the fact that it's overrated, if it was available from T-Mobile. All the current phones T-Mobile has sucks compared to my long lost, completely non-stylish, but functional and long-lasting Sony Ericsson T610. Since I can't get an iPhone I'm looking at the G1.
