Google wants to help users think before drinking and e-mailing

Although it may be a lot of fun in the moment, drunken e-mailing can sometimes leave people in an embarrassing or harmful position.

"Sometimes I send messages I shouldn't send," Google Gmail engineer Jon Perlow said in a blog. “Like the time I told that girl I had a crush on her over text message. Or the time I sent that late night email to my ex-girlfriend that we should get back together. Gmail can't always prevent you from sending messages you might later regret, but today we're launching a new Labs feature I wrote called Mail Goggles which may help."

To help alleviate this problem and maybe prevent you from emailing your ex, Google recently launched Mail Goggles, a new tool designed to force Gmail users to answer a few easy math problems before being able to send an e-mail.

Google set the service to default to start on Friday and Saturday evenings, but users have the ability to alter what days it operates, the level of math asked, and several other basic features.  Goggles can be found in the "settings" section, under the "labs" option

The math problems need to be answered correctly in a certain amount of time, or the email cannot be sent.

Even if it's not the most effective tool in the world, I still got a kick out of it.

to send this email, answer this simple question:

The sum of the first and third of three consecutive even integers is 131 less than three times the second integer.

Find the three integers.

That problem would be simple if it wasn't impossible.
Your obviously saying the middle number is 131, which is not even...

Let's do it slowly...
Three consecutive even integers can be represented by:
x-2;x;x+2
you state that: (x-2)+(x+2) = 3x - 131
which means 3x - 2x = 131 <=> x = 131
The solutions would be 129; 131; 133. The problem is these numbers are odd... and this is the only possible solution...

well, ok, ill pay that...to be honest i just googled "hard maths question" and was hit up with that :P
