Dell gets extremely generous with the Xbox 360 Elite

DailyTech hasn't covered hot deals in a while, but this one was simply too hot to pass up. Dell is currently offering the Xbox 360 Elite for the low, low price of $299.00 with free shipping.

Considering that the regular retail price for an Xbox 360 Elite is $449.99, this deal represents a huge savings. The Xbox 360 Elite of course comes with a 120GB HDD, Forza Motorsport 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold Edition, and two extra faceplates.

This deal most definitely won't last long at this price, so get them while you can.

DailyTech reported in early July that Microsoft was introducing a new 60GB model at the $349.99 price point, while dropping its existing 20GB model to $299.99. Further reports suggest that the Xbox 360 Arcade will fall to $199.99 in September.

The deal is now dead. You snooze, you lose.

Sounds like you were a few seconds too late haha.

I mananged check out with the $299 price but I'm one of the later ones so I'm hoping that they have enough in inventory.

Oh, hey uh...if I get it..you interested in buying it from me ;) *nudge nudge* haha.

In my experience, Dell usually cancels orders placed against pricing errors. So you'll be lucky if you receive anything other than a cancellation notice e-mail.

Bought more crap than I would ever need but the deals are sweet.

This one is tempting even though I swore off getting an Xbox360 from a reliability standpoint.

The horrible forum update is enough to keep me away -- and Slickdeals has a higher volume of deals by far.

Pricing Error Probably

This was a pricing mistake, they corrected it now. If you click to add it to your cart, it goes back to its original price. I bet they will cancel orders for those who placed it at $300, if they don't, then those of you who bought it at the right time got lucky.

a couple of weeks ago they did the same thing here in Chile.
They publish an inspiron for only US$140...

Obviously, they pull it back and offer the customers a 15% discount on the notebooks or the cancellation of the order.

Cheers...
