Two more colors of the very popular game console have been released in Japan
Following last week's launch of one color of the Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo released the Enamel Navy and Ice Blue version of the popular handheld console. Thousands of anxious consumers waited in cold weather for the release a mere nine days ago -- but the release of the Enamel Navy and Ice Blue brought out longer lines.
On Saturday, game fans showed they were still hot for the new models. One electronics store in downtown Osaka stocked some 2,100 of the gadgets but sold out in only 2 1/2 hours after opening at 6:45 a.m., three hours earlier than usual.
Interested consumers in North America will most likely have to wait a long period before being able to puchase the DS Lite from retail stores. If you simply can't wait until the unit is available outside of Japan, there are a few models available on Ebay for a hefty price. Nintendo of America has not set a date on when the DS Lite will be available for consumers in North America.
