From what I've read over the past few months the release should be a lot like Penryn was. They'll have server chips and a high-end desktop by Christmas and intro two more desktop models, about $500 and $300, in Jan. Availability on the other hand should be better than Penryn as 45nm production will have ramped up by then but I don't know how many 45nm fabs will be producing Nehalem/Bloomfield.
