Waiting might be for too long though - even assuming availability by the end of 08, it would be in the form of some "extreme" product thats unreasonably expensive. Then add to that the requirement of expensive DDR3 ram...
It might be just fine to go with a DDR2 Penryn now and get Nehalem sometime in 09, when it has grounded itself a little more...
