NVIDIA SLI Patch For Any Motherboard

The NGO Patcher adds several INFs to your Windows configuration -- the result should enable SLI in your NVIDIA toolbar
Dying to give SLI a try but don't have quite the right motherboard? A new patch might give you a sneak peak
A few days ago we reported on
the leaked ULi driver patch
that enables SLI on any Detonator driver if the patch finds a ULi Northbridge. ULi (ironically
) created the patch to work with existing and future NVIDIA drivers -- other similar hacks required the use of ancient drivers to work correctly.
A few people were able to take our advice and create
a patcher from the ULi INF
files. The result? SLI on any platform, no matter what the chipset (just so long as you have two PEG adaptors).
Several motherboards have multiple PEG slots, but without the SLI license from NVIDIA, those motherboards have never been sanctioned to run SLI mode. Motherboards that currently have multiple PEG adaptors but are not authorized to run in SLI mode include:
NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra
NVIDIA nForce4 4X
Feel free to give these chipsets a try and report your success.

Well, seeing as how nVidia now owns ULi, they put it out themselves...therefore, I doubt that they're going to bring lawsuits against themselves.

It's the reverse engineering that had to happen that's a violation of the DMCA. The patch was leaked out, not released.

Yeah. NGO could be in a sh!tstorm of trouble for that little coding feat. Is that even DMCA law-breaking? I would think even the general copyright laws from days of old would cover something this.
Pretty soon there'll be an NVIDIA press release: It's on like Donkey Kong, beyotch!
