For those of you who think in binary, today marks the end of year 10 and the beginning of year 11.

For those of you who think in ASCII code, then you could claim DailyTech now celebrates year 33.

For those who think in a more sane number system, then today denotes the age of DailyTech as the first Mersenne prime, the first lucky prime, the first unique prime, the first and fourth Perrin number and the fourth Fibonacci number.

Someone once suggested we celebrate DailyTech's Pi-th birthday on February 20, 2008.  Clever, but the number three is my favorite so it holds a special place in my todo list.


Over one short year, DailyTech doubled its page views since December 2006, which was already a ten-fold increase from the AnandTech channel the year before. 2007 was a great year to us, with props from BusinessWeek, CNN, New York Times, NPR, USA Today, the U.S. Senate's EPW Committee, the thousands of bloggers and hundreds of tech news sites out there that link to us Daily.

I'd also like to offer a special thanks to the Google News team for their incredible work in changing how the masses read and acquire news.

Of course, who could forget our incredible reader base either.  We weren't just lucky enough to see a two-fold increase in traffic, but our reader comments and account registrations have increased four-fold since December 2006.
