3rd option = Male

"I'm not from this planet" is akin to saying "I have a geeky-male sense of humor" so it is safe to add those counts to males.

I'd venture that at least half of the female votes are guys too...

remember, there are no girls on the internet

Now, now, there are real women online. We just aren't quite as nutso as you guys about technology.

I can speak for the majority of women on here, I am far nerdier than they are. :P

I used to just post modified princess bride quotes. :)

That's just not true. I know an attractive woman who refrained from explaining TRIM because she initially thought that was too nerdy to mention, and wants to get watercooling for her PC.

However, it is true that this is extremely rare.

that the average geeks sex life can be described as "out of this world"? I mean if we are the only planet with genders as implied...

Technically it could mean no gender or multiple genders.

Planet of the hermaphrodites.

good point. Explains so much on the origins of the term "go F yourself".

fail

Why use gender? People claim to feel like women, dogs, all sorts of things. Men want to wear dresses and such. This doesn't mean much. I bet half of those female votes are these guys who think they're women or want people to refer to them as things like "Miss Jay."

I hate to break it to you but I could easly see the nearly 2000 male visitors who answered the poll as well as the 52 female.

That is a ratio of about 38:1, sounds normal for a Tech site. :D
