Verizon's Droid Incredible launched to
much fanfare back in late
April. The phone packs a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8GB of
internal storage (microSD expansion is also possible), 3.7"
display (480x800) and until today, Google's Android 2.1 operating
system (with HTC Sense layered on top).
Verizon tweeted
this morning that the owners of Droid Incredible smartphones will
begin getting the OTA update to Android 2.2 today.
According to Droid
Life, improvements coming to the Droid Incredible via the OTA
update include:
- 720p video recording
- 802.11n Wi-Fi
- Adobe Flash Player 10.1
- 270 degree screen rotation
- A new Mail Stream widget
- Text Message widget
In addition, you can expect all of the
features and speed
improvements found in the base
Android 2.2 build.
