 Smartphones are blamed for workout not paying

Washington. Recent study found that talking or texting on a cell phone during exercise lowers the intensity of a workout and affects balance. Study was done, by Michael Reblod, assistant professor at Hiram College in the US.

“If you are talking or texting on your cell phone while you are working on your daily steps, your attention is divided by the two tasks and that can disrupt your postural stability, and therefore greater inherent risks such as falls and musculoskeletal injuries,” said Rebold. On the other hand listening to music on a cell phone has no notable impact on postural stability during exercise, the study showed.

Here’s who Microsoft HoloLens is helping civil engineers.

Microsoft has collaborated with University of Cambridge’s construction IT lab and is helping engineers use HoloLens to overlay a design onto a real world bridge or building making inspections simpler and safer.  “In the past there was no way of bringing 3D models rom buildings and bridges off the screens and onto the real structure,” technology website Engadget quoted University of Cambridge’s lonnis Brilakis says.
