Super Smash Bros. Brawl in Wii owns the week in games
Super Smash Bros.
Brawl – released on March 9 – is the most anticipated Nintendo game since Super Mario Galaxy, and it will likely
steamroll everything in its path for months to come. Although a Sunday release
is unusual, it’s common practice for big title launches in Japan. Game
companies are aware that some diehard gamers will skip work or school for the
sake of a new release, so some releases are pegged for Sunday in hopes of
minimalizing the damage on productivity.
