It should've gotten at least half of the prices. I wonder how many d*cks Epic sucked to get all those.

Hm have you played Twilight Princess?
If not youve missed out.

Ive played GoW and I didn't like it, just as I didn't like Halo. They're just brainless killing frenzies.

Gears of war isn't anything special playing by yourself. But get a co-op game going, and it's easily one of the best shooters in my book. Halo... don't get me started on that piece of junk series.

Sure Gears of War can get an award for outstanding art direction, but thats easy enough when you lock someone into a cutscene.

Shouldn't games like HalfLife 2 Episode I get recognized for art direction in a dynamic environment?

Valve goes the long mile and focuses on things like how to get someone's attention before displaying a cinematic sequence.

Yeah, HL2: Episode 1 was an awesome expansion. However, Valve should just get a reward for consistently delaying the release of their games and missing intended launch dates in an almost religious fashion. When are we supposed to HL2: Episode 2?

*Rolls eyes*

Clarification

Based on a quick read, it seems Call of Duty 3 tied with Wii Sports with 3 wins each.

I'm not too sure why, but the concept of Guitar Hero II winning an award for its soundtrack is a bit unsettling. Maybe it's the fact that I can't stand some of the remakes (as I believe every commercial song in the GH series are redone just like all the other Harmonix games). The first time I ever heard Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name" on Guitar Hero II, I almost flipped out about how bad the song sounded compared to the original. The vocals didn't sound anything like de la Roca's voice which ruined it for me. Although, I'm not too sure people who play the game and not watch it (like I was doing) would care :P.

Actually it's not as bad as all that. All of the bonus songs in the game are recorded by the original artist, which is quite a lot of songs even if most them are average at best and several of them really suck. And 2 of the non bonus songs are recorded by the original artists, amazingly, they actually got real famous bands into their studio. Granted, Primus and Jane's Addiction might not be household names but they are in the mainstream.

i enjoyed TDU, but didn't think it was going to win Racing Game of the Year.

# Racing Game of the Year

* Test Drive Unlimited (Eden Studios/Atari)

actually same goes for Eve. i thought that it was a fun game as well, but didn't think it would win that category either.

Well, it turns out that the list I sourced was incorrect. Burnout Revenge took the racing game nod, and Guild Wars took the MMO.

I should have known something was wrong with those categories when Guild Wars got beat. As for why WoW isn't there... that's another story entirely.

Based on the provided link, some of the winners listed in the article are incorrect. Check Family Game, Download Game.
