Sprint's website is now allowing customers to pre-order the iPhone 4, and will begin accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 4S on Friday, October 7

After years of watching AT&T, then later Verizon sell the ever-popular iPhone, Sprint will now get its chance to jump on the ibandwagon as well -- with unlimited plans.

Sprint's website is now allowing customers to pre-order the iPhone 4, and will begin accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 4S on Friday, October 7.

Sprint is offering an 8GB iPhone 4 for $549.99, or $99.99 with a two-year contract agreement, according to the pre-order site. It will feature iOS 5, up to 7 hours talk time on 3G, and an A4 processor.

The iPhone 4S will feature iOS 5, A5 processor, Siri voice recognition assistant, a new 8 megapixel camera and iCloud.

Earlier this week, AllThingsD reported that Sprint confirmed its unlimited data plans for the upcoming iPhone arrival. According to Sprint spokeswoman Michelle Leff Mermelstein, Sprint will offer its unlimited plans starting at $69.99.

The $69.99 plans offers 450 voice minutes with unlimited data and unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling. If a customer wants unlimited calling and unlimited data, the plan jumps to $99.99 per month. Now add another $10 per month to both of those plans as a surcharge for smartphones, and both are $79.99 and $109.99 respectively.

Pre-ordered iPhones are expected to ship to customers on October 14 or 15.
