TV and monitor manufacturer Sceptre specializes in low cost monitors that offer mid-range performance to enthusiasts.  The latest addition to its line, the 27" E275W-1920 full HD 1080P monitor was just announced.  The monitor sports a relatively speedy 5ms response time.

The monitor provides HDMI, DVI and VGA inputs, and includes built-in speakers, 15 degrees backward and 5 degrees forward tilt angles.  The screen also features a 120Hz refresh rate, 16:9 aspect ratio, 5ms gray-to-gray response time, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and native 1920x1080 resolution.

The screen can be found on Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN), Newegg, and other popular retailers for around $200 – just in time for Christmas.

120Hz?
No it isn't. A simple look on the product page shows that.
http://www.sceptre.com/store/Monitors/LED-Monitor/...

" Signal Compatibility
Digital Signal Frequency 30 - 80 kHz (Horizontal) / 60 - 75Hz (Vertical) "

So sick of the industries complete lack of innovation with refresh rates.
Whoever was the first person to say we don't need more than 60Hz should be shot and hung in public.

What you say may be true, but experiencing a true 120hz monitor for just desktop usage is a god send to someone that has to scroll all day.. I couldn't imagine being without it at work. It's a life saver for the eyes. And I'm not talking aboout doubling of the image to claim 120hz like this monitor.

But "With such a high-resolution, this monitor offers a lifelike picture, ideal for movies, video games or every day usage."

It's not like monitors offering 1920x1080 are exactly common. That's not even regular HD, that's full HD.

Yes, it's really unusual for a 27" monitor to have such a low resolution. Almost like someone just took a cheap TV and slapped the word "monitor" on the bezel.
