Samsung S8  (Source: Samsung)
Samsung’s long awaited and latest flagship smartphone will be on sale starting April 21 at AT&T, Spring, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Let’s go straight to the battery.  We all know what happened with the S7 and as a result, Samsung has implemented their 8-Point Battery Safety Check. This new battery safety check claims to put the batteries through extreme testing, followed by careful inspection by X-ray and the human eye.

The safety test is extreme to say the least. Each battery gets a durability test, charge/discharge test, visual inspection, TVOC, X-Ray Test, Accelerated Usage Test, Disassembling Test, and a ?OCV Test.

So, with battery concerns laid to rest, what else do we get. For starters, both the S8 and S8 Plus feature HDR-capable screens. This means that you get the best available dark colors and bright colors on these larger displays.

Say Hello to Bixby.  Apple has Siri, Google has its Assistant, Microsoft has Cortana, and Amazon has Alexa so it is only fair that Samsung has Bixby. Among many other features, Bixby promises to recognize where you are and what time of day to intuitively provide for all your information needs. Even more amazing, with its ability to search things visually, Bixby can read the title of a book or recognize items by reading their labels.

The S8s get a 12MP camera and all the camera features that were inherent in Samsung cameras. The Samsung S8 allows you to unlock your phone with facial recognition or a fingerprint.
