Here are two excellent smartphones that look very similar at first glance, but are clearly for different budgets.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 has had a great run in the market and the anticipation is now set on the Samsung Galaxy S8.  But as we wait, there are other smart offerings by Samsung that are worth consideration. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is just such a smart offering.

The Galaxy A5 has a 5” Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. That is smaller than the Galaxy S7 which has a 5.1-inch display and a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.  The S7 is able to 576 ppi pixel density which results in better picture quality than the A5.

The Galaxy A5 has a glass front, metal mid-frame, and glass backing. The available colors for this framework are black, light blue, peach and gold.
Selfie enthusiasts will love the 16-megapixel f/1.9 selfie camera which delivers these detailed selfies, even in low-light settings.  Even though this smartphone has a 5.2-inch screen, it is still comfortable to hold when taking selfies or during normal use.

"Paying an extra $500 for a computer in this environment -- same piece of hardware -- paying $500 more to get a logo on it? I think that's a more challenging proposition for the average person than it used to be." -- Steve Ballmer
