The bankruptcy came to light Wednesday

Some larger U.S. retailers like RadioShack and Target have lost their online mobile storefronts due to the demise of Simplexity.

According to Twice, Simplexity -- a cellular services provider responsible for the mobile storefronts of RadioShack, Newegg, hhgregg, TigerDirect, Target, Sears/Kmart, Walmart and more -- has filed for Chapter 7 liquidation. Consequently, many of these storefronts are experiencing outages.

In response to the outages, some retailers like BestBuy.com are giving customers gifts to make up for the inconvenience. From March 13 through March 20, BestBuy.com will give customers a $10 e-gift card with mobile phone purchases.

The bankruptcy came to light Wednesday, as did the dismissal of employees.
