Sources say the free mobile service will allow limited on demand playback

Spotify has been operating its subscription music service for quite some time and seen its fair share of success. Sources that claim to be familiar with pans at the company have now said that Spotify is working on an ad-supported, free music streaming service for mobile devices.
Spotify has offered its free streaming service only on computers in the past.
These sources claim that the music company has made licensing deals with three global music companies for the new service. Spotify currently has 6 million paying subscribers and 20 million active users around the world.
The sources said that the ad-supported version of the mobile service would let the users play a limited number of songs on demand.
The Spotify premium service costs $20 per month and allows unlimited on demand music playback from a catalog of 20 million tracks on multiple devices.
