The Droid Incredible family grows

Verizon Wireless is continuing its push into the LTE realm with the announcement of the newest member of the family: the Droid Incredible 4G LTE. As with previous Droid Incredible variants, this latest one is made by HTC.
Once you get past the mouthful of a name, Verizon's latest LTE smartphone has quite a bit to offer including:
  • 4-inch super LCD qHD display
  • 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.2 and 28 mm lens and LED flash
  • Front-facing camera
  • 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 1GB system RAM, 8GB internal storage
  • Support for up to 32 GB microSD
  • Mobile Hotspot capability  (supports up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled devices)
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • NFC
  • Beats Audio
  • 1700 mAh battery
You'll also be glad to know that the Droid Incredible 4G LTE comes packing Android 4.0 -- hopefully we can put Android 2.3 out to pasture for new smartphone releases from here on out. In addition, the smartphone measures 4.8" x 2.4" x 0.46" and weighs in at 4.7 ounces.

We don't currently have any pricing on the Droid Incredible 4G LTE, but Verizon says that the smartphone will be available “in the coming weeks”.

S4 1.2GHz

I wonder if this is just an underclocked MSM8960 or if it'll be the MSM8930. According to Wikipedia, the MSM8960 is 1.5-1.7GHz and the MSM8930 is 1.0-1.2GHz. I'm hoping it's the MSM8930 so we can finally see the Adreno 305 in action. I'm less than excited however about the single channel RAM, though I don't know what kind of actual impact that will have on performance.

Either way, this is the first S4 phone released for Verizon. Which is good considering T-Mobile already has the One S available. Unless something absolutely horrible comes up about the phone I plan on getting one on release day.

First smartphone was Droid X back in Nov of 10' and it was a good phone all around but it started acting really weird with gingerbread and its updates and just got slower and slower as apps and the web became more hardware demanding. Was also pissed that Verizon is taking is slow ass time in expanding 4G into non urban areas and smaller towns.

Now have a Galaxy Note on AT&T with 3gb plan and on 4G, so im really happy now.
