Sony's SmartWatch 3 brings some unique features to the table

Late last week, ASUS unveiled its stylish ZenWatch Android Wear device with a metal housing and an attractive $199 price point. This week, Sony is making its first Android Wear device available on the Google Play Store: the SmartWatch 3.
While the ZenWatch looks modern and classy with its metal body and leather band, the SmartWatch 3 goes for a sportier motif with its flexible plastic body/band. When it comes to specs, the SmartWatch 3 doesn’t stray too far from the existing Android Wear crowd with it main hardware specifications, which means that it features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 512MB of RAM, 1.6” 320x320 display, 4GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 4.1, IP68 water/dust resistance, and a 420 mAh battery (which is good for up to two days per charge according to Sony).

The SmartWatch 3 does standout with its inclusion of Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS (the latter of which is supported by the latest release of the Android Wear operating system).
As for pricing, the SmartWatch is available from the Google Play Store for $249, which puts it on par with the stylish Motorola Moto 360 and comfortable below the newly released $299 LG G Watch R.
