Mobile is at 83 percent of users while PC sits at 81 percent

A new report shows that Chinese citizens are going online via mobile devices more than PCs for the first time ever.
According to the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) report, China's total number of Internet users increased 2.3 percent to 632 million by the end of June from 618 million at the end of 2013.
Of that 632 million, the number of mobile users just slid past PC users for the first time with 527 million (83 percent) -- PC accounted for 81 percent of the total.
Mobile alone grew 5.4 percent from the 500 million users at the end of 2013.
Mobile services offered were a huge reason for the increase in users, such as music, video, search and gaming -- which all saw double-digit increases.

Mobile services that saw large increases from late 2013 to June 2014 were mobile shopping, which increased 42 percent; online banking, which grew 56.4 percent; mobile payment, which jumped 63.4 percent, and mobile travel booking, which saw a whopping 65.4 percent increase.
It makes sense that China's mobile use is growing, considering it's the largest smartphone market in the world.
For instance, when Apple finally struck a deal with China Mobile for the iPhone 5S, over 1 million of the Apple-branded smartphones were shipped for the big launch in January.

At least the Chinese don't have to pirate Microsoft Windows anymore just to go online.

“Then they pop up and say ‘Hello, surprise! Give us your money or we will shut you down!' Screw them. Seriously, screw them. You can quote me on that.” -- Newegg Chief Legal Officer Lee Cheng referencing patent trolls
