LogMeIn Ignition users will have 7 days to make a decision about purchasing a paid service alternative

LogMeIn Free has always been a credible solution for those looking to gain access to a computer remotely (even when accessing a remote machine using a smartphone or tablet). However, LogMeIn has had enough of providing its software for free, and is forcing users to pay up or hit the road.
Users are being given a seven-day grace period (grace period starts after your next login) to make the decision to upgrade to a paid service.
In a forum posting, the company stated:
We will begin gradually migrating users of LogMeIn and Ignition-branded remote access offerings to a paid-only account-level subscription of LogMeIn Pro…
In order to continue using remote access, you will need to purchase an account-level subscription of LogMeIn Pro.  You will have the option to choose a subscription that meets your needs based on the number of computers you want to access. Take advantage of special introductory offers in the coming weeks by logging into your account at for pricing information and offer details.

For customers that have already purchased LogMeIn Ignition for iPad/iPhone and LogMeIn Ignition for Android, “significant” discounts will be given to those that stick around and want to upgrade to LogMeIn Pro.
