It has been confirmed that T-Mobile USA's ex-CEO will be the new chief executive officer of Vodafone's northern and central Europe sector.
Phillip Humm, former CEO of T-Mobile USA, resigned from his position earlier this week. There were some suspicions that Humm was planning to join another company, and today, those rumors have been confirmed.
Humm will be the new Vodafone CEO of northern and central Europe starting October 1, 2012. This news seems to be in line with what Humm told T-Mobile USA back in April, which was that he wanted to leave at the end of September for Europe to be with his family.
Humm was the T-Mobile USA CEO since November 2010.
"Philipp Humm has given the company some important initiatives over the past years," said T-Mobile USA. "Under his leadership the cost situation at T-Mobile USA has vastly improved and he led the company during a difficult phase regarding the planned merger with AT&T."
