Google's refreshed Gmail account offers more flexibility

Google wants Gmail to be more than just a repository for your Gmail messages; it is looking to branch out by supporting both Yahoo and Outlook email accounts as well. This fresh news comes courtesy of Android Police, which discovered a video that runs through the features of the new Gmail 5.0 email client.
In addition to support for Yahoo and Outlook — which is separate from the existing POP3 account support — Gmail 5.0 also features the “Material Design” visual style that is the hallmarked of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Speaking of Lollipop, the redesign Gmail app is expected to launch alongside the new mobile operating system when it launches within the next few weeks.
There was no mention of the iOS version of the Gmail app, but it’s a near guarantee that the added functionality will soon be coming to iPhone and iPad users.
