CES 2009 starts this week and over the last, few years the show has became the place where many firms launch their new SSD products. This year's CES may be happening during the worst economic times in decades, but manufacturers are still launching costly SSD products in force.
PQI has announced that it will be showing its new line of SSDs at the show. Among the offerings are several interesting products like the 32GB Express Card SSD S520. The cool part about this thing is that it can be installed into the PCI Express slot of your computer or it gives the option of using the product as a USB flash drive.
Other new products from the firm include a 1.8-inch microSATA SSD called the S518, the Express Card S520, a 2.5-inch SSD S525 will debut and more. The S530 is an eSATA combo card SSD that has 64GB of storage and can reach read speeds of 90MB/sec. The tiny 1.8-inch SSDs that PQI is showing off come in capacities of up to 128GB. PQI will also be showing non-SSD products as well with a new waterproof flash drive being debuted at CES 2009.
PQI introduced a 256GB 2.5-inch SSD in May of 2007.
