Microsoft's January '06 update is now available through Xbox Live
Microsoft has released the much hyped January 2006 update for the Xbox 360. The mandatory update will install when you sign on to Xbox Live. There doesn't appear to be anything to get excited about, but here's the list from Microsoft on what's included with the update:
- Improvements to the Xbox Guide.
- Option to retain your saved games when you delete a profile.
- Increased accuracy of "last time played."
- Network configuration improvements for Xbox Live® members in the Netherlands.
- More detailed messaging for unreadable disk or region errors.
