It will be released in the U.S. in October and Europe in November for $99.99 USD

Logitech is close to releasing a new illuminated keyboard that will allow you to connect multiple devices to it.

The Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 is an upcoming addition to the PC accessory company's keyboard lineup. It allows consumers to connect their smartphone, tablet or PC to it all at one time, and switch between each device with the push of a button.

What's better is that it's compatible with Windows, iOS and Android devices. It's even set up for Windows 8, which will be released on October 26. For instance, consumers can use the keyboard's Windows 8 Start key to make their way back to the Start screen, or the App Switching function helps switch between applications much easier.

The Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 is thin and USB rechargeable, meaning consumers can use the keyboard even when it's charging via the USB cable. It also has an On/Off switch, a battery indicator light and auto-adjusting illumination. According to Logitech, the keyboard has proximity detection that turns on the lighting when a user's hands are aproaching it, and it dims/brightens depending on the amount of light in the room.

Logitech also designed the Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 with real brushed aluminum so that it would match any modern PC, tablet or smartphone.

"It's increasingly common for people to use more than one device over the course of the day, and we saw an opportunity to help ease the transition among screens with the Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard," said Mike Culver, vice president of brand development for consumer computing platforms at Logitech. "Using Logitech's heritage of high quality and reliability, this keyboard combines the funtionality and design people expect with simultaneous multi-device pairing, which they will appreciate."

The Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 will be released in the U.S. in October and Europe in November for $99.99 USD.

I have a Logitech K340.

My questions on the K810 are:

1) Is the keyboard quiet when you type such as a rubber type keyboard? My keyboard makes to much sound when I type.

2) Will the letters on the keyboard wear off? My keyboard letters paint are gone on many of my keys.

Should have checked if the keyboard was at their website first.

1) Laser-etched backlit keys

2) Logitech PerfectStroke™ key system
The PerfectStroke key system distributes typing force evenly across the key surfaces making every keystroke SILENT , natural and fluid—even if you strike the edge of a key.

This keyboard is obviously for the upcoming Microsoft Surface and similar units about to be released. I think it looks great!

It's a bluetooth keyboard. They're all pretty much the same.

Disagree. It's just that you need to search hard since bluetooth keyboards are uncommon.

I bought an HP mini bluetooth keyboard, the one they designed for their tablet, i use it with my pc and htpc and aside from lacking a mouse, it is absolutely fantastic, one of the best purchases i've made in the past couple of years. For £20 i consider it an absolute steal.

Hell, for $100 it better not be junk!! I've Logitech mouse and now keyboard and they have NEVER let me down so far, so I don't see why this particular keyboard would. Illumination in the dark for keys is what I like since I have to use my screen to see the keys on the keyboard that I'm tying with now, and it can be used with just about any device you can type with as long as it has Bluetooth, yep major upgrade in my book!!

Have to disagree. I think this keyboard looks great, and the backlighting is a nice touch.

The only problem is the $99 asking price. If it came down a bit, I'd totally pair it with my future Win8 tablet.

$99 price too high? Try the DiNovo Edge for $50 more, no backlighting, and the worst trackpad aka "touchdisc" you've ever used.

Ohh, and no replacable battery and chronic disconnect issues, problems that have plagued it from the beginning and are hopefully worked out in this keyboards' bluetooth stack.

Logitech has gone downhill so fast in the past 10 years. Their quality used to be exceptional for the price.

Lol i have the DiNovo Edge and can confirm all these problems. It really is an overpriced POS. Logitech are junk these days, you dont get what you pay for.
