William Amelio will replace Steve Ward as Lenovo CEO.
Lenovo's newest hire, William Amelio, comes into the fold with references from a few small
computer firms. You know, those little guys like Dell and IBM ;)
Amelio brings plenty of experience to the table as he was formerly in
charge of Dell's Asian operations and was also a veteran executive of
IBM. Amerlio will replace Steve Ward as Lenovo's CEO:
"Our board and Steve Ward made the decision together that this is the
right time for the transition," said Lenovo Chairman Yang Yuanqing in a
telephone interview. "Right now we are entering a new phase to pursue
profitable growth more aggressively."
"Spreading the rumors, it's very easy because the people who write about Apple want that story, and you can claim its credible because you spoke to someone at Apple." -- Investment guru Jim Cramer
