When Microsoft laid-off up to 5,000 people from its global sales team, Salesforce came to the rescue with new opportunities.

On July 6th, Microsoft announced that in a reorganization process, they would be reducing their global sales team by 10% or 5,000 personnel.

Fortunately, Marc Benioff CEO of American cloud computing company Salesforce came through with another option.  Instead of the unemployment line, the unemployed Microsoft workers could move to SalesForce.

In two tweets posted on yesterday July 13th, Marc Benioff offered the jobless Microsoft employees an opportunity to send in their resumes for a chance to work at Salesforce.

It is very clear that the tweets were directed at the Microsoft which is currently missing a CIO after Jim DuBois resigned around the same time of the lay-off announcement.
