DailyTech previously reported HTC’s Q4 product roadmap plans. The products outlined in the roadmap have officially been named and launched. Four of the mentioned products formerly known as the Artemis, Trinity, Excalibur and Oxygen have been named P3300, P3600, S620 and S310 respectively. HTC’s P3300 is a PDA phone powered by Windows Mobile 5.0. It sports a Texas Instruments OMAP 850 processor clocked at 200 MHz with 128MB of ROM and 64MB of RAM. Network support includes quad-band GSM, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. Unique to the P3300 is the integrated GPS capabilities powered by TomTom Navigator 6 software which is perfect for those constantly on the road. Also available on the P3300 is a 2.8” TFT LCD touch screen display, 2.0 mega-pixel camera, FM Radio and a microSD slot.
HTC’s P3600 is a multimedia oriented 3G PDA phone powered by Windows Mobile 5.0. A Samsung 400 MHz processor powers the multimedia capabilities. The memory configuration is very similar to the P3300 with a 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM. Network support includes quad-band GSM, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. Unlike the GPS equipped P3300, the P3600 supports tri-band UMTS and HSDPA protocols for faster mobile internet. Other notable features of the P3600 include a 2.8” LCD touch screen, 2 mega-pixel camera, second VGA camera for video conferencing and a microSD slot.
Moving onto HTC’s Smartphone lineup is the S620 which bears resemblance to RIM’s famed BlackBerry. Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, the S620 offers single handed operation via HTC’s JOGGR control pad. An integrated QWERTY eases writing e-mails while on the go. Other notable features of the S620 include 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, 2.4” QVGA display, 1.3 mega-pixel camera, quad-band GSM, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a microSD slot.
Last up is the HTC S310 which is the smallest of the bunch and features a candy bar form factor. This phone is compatible with quad-band GSM networks and supports EDGE and GPRS protocols. There’s also support for Bluetooth 2.0, a 1.2 mega-pixel camera and a mini SD slot. The S310 has the least amount of memory available out of HTC’s new lineup with only 64MB ROM and 64MB RAM. It is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 like the rest of HTC’s lineup.
There’s no mention of availability of the new lineup yet. T-Mobile Europe is expected to rebadge the HTC P3300 as an MDA Compact III. North American mobile phone users will have to wait as there’s no mention when or if Cingular, T-Mobile or other North American GSM operators will release rebadged versions of HTC’s new P3300, P3600, S620 or S310.
