For the listed configuration, that price sounds about in line with what I've seen for other massive (i.e. 15-inch screen) laptops.

While 5.6 may not be in the ultra portable category or even thin and light, I am not sure if it could be considered massive (now the 12-20 pound 17-19 inch ones with 2 hard drives, and sli graphics, it might be reasonable to call those massive)

With this almost perfect platform and same price as Turion notebooks, there are fewer maneuvers for AMD here, except the ones that are looking for x64.

The Turion X2 is launched in a week or so (though they have announced 2 HP TX2 laptops already). The business refresh isn't done yet, there are a few more to be announced with Turion later (at least that's what my newswire says...).

With Vista supposedly coming out in less than a year, newly designed laptops should have something better than integrated graphics at least as an option.

I think most IGP's sold these days will work with Vista.
