Google's Play Store app gets some Material Design lovin'

During Google I/O last month, we were introduced to Material Design. Material Design is the new design aesthetic for the upcoming Android L mobile operating system and makes greater use of bold colors, sliding “cards” and transitions, and larger “Roboto” typography.
 
To get an idea of what to expect with Material Design, take a look at this brief overview from Google:
 

Android Police is now reporting that the Play Store will get a similar Material Design makeover and that the refresh will likely launch with Android L – and it has the screenshots to prove it. The images below are obviously from a pre-release version of the Play Store and may not be indicative of exactly will be presented in its final form. However, the images do give us an idea of the minimalist direction that Google is heading towards with Material Design.
