Nexus owners can finally breathe a sigh of relief

If you’re the proud owner of a Google Nexus device, today is your lucky day. Google has just initiated over-the-air (OTA) Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10.
In addition to the Lollipop updates, there are some additional updates available for those that recently purchased a Nexus 6 smartphone or Nexus 9 tablet. According to a post on the Google Product Forums, this is the full list of Nexus devices receiving an update today:
  • Nexus 6: Minor update to address bugs
  • Nexus 9: Minor update to address bugs
  • Nexus 5: Update from KitKat to Lollipop
  • Nexus 7 WiFi (2012 & 2013): Update from KitKat to Lollipop
  • Nexus 10: Update from KitKat to Lollipop
In addition, OTA updates for the cellular versions of the Nexus 7 (both generations) and the Nexus 4 aren’t yet available, but are incoming.

Please note that while your device might be on the supported list to get the Lollipop update, you might not get it on day one. Google is pushing out the updates in waves, so just be patient and at least take comfort in the fact that you’ll be receiving Lollipop shortly.
Google’s rollout comes just hours after Motorola started pushing the Lollipop update to the first and second generation Moto G and second generation Moto X Pure Edition smartphones.
