Now up to six family members can have their own account on one Google Home Speaker.

Google Home is great at listening for the “Okay Google” activation phrase and responding to your voice commands. It can give you the time of day, weather, your schedule, etc. That is all fine when you are living solo or with another who does not use it.

Up until Wednesday, Google Home could not tell the difference between other users so it would only give the same response to anyone who asked. For example, two people using Google Home used to get the same schedule. Now with the new feature, Google Home now allows up to six users to connect their account to the device.

In order to do that, you have to train the speaker to recognize each users voice by saying the activation phrase “Ok Google” and “Hey Google”. Both phrases are recited twice to the Google Home Speaker which then analyzes the voice patterns using a neural network.

Pretty soon, Google Home could be cooking and doing the dishes...we won't even have to get out of bed.
