Google’s Andromeda is rumored to debut in the third quarter of next year in a new laptop called the Pixel 3. According to sources, Google also plans to launch a Nexus tablet that runs Andromeda.

Huawei is going to make the Nexus tablets that will run Google’s new Andromeda operating system. According to Android Police, reliable sources have confirmed that the laptop project is called ‘Bison’ and that Google definitely plans to have it run an operating system that is a combination of Android and Chrome.
 
Michale Jude of Stratecast/Frost & Sullivan stated that A Andromeda is Google’s pathway to providing “a common platform across all devices that include not only the OS but the browser functions as well.”  Andromeda is a large initiative consisting of the merging of Chrome features into Android.


 
Access Google Assistant from hybrid PCs and tablets will be enhanced by Andromeda making for a robust virtual personal assistant.  Google Assistant is currently running on Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.
Rumor has it that the Pixel 3 or Bison as it is known internally is a ultra-thin laptop with a 12.3” display.  Google plans for the laptop to have a tablet mode which lead to speculations of it being similar to the Microsoft’s Surface book.
 


The Pixel 3 will feature an Intel M3 or i5 Core processor with 32 or 128 GB of storage and from 8GB to 16Gm of RAM according to Android Police.  We could also see a fingerprint scanner, dual USB C ports, 3.5mm jack, stylus support, stereo speakers, quad microphones, and a backlit keyboard.  There is also a glass trackpad which uses haptic technology similar to the new iPhone 7 by Apple. Battery life is right around 10 hours.
 
If you plan to get one of these Google Andromeda laptops, look to spend around $799 or more.
