Nokia has been outed on a new product by the FCC just as Sony
was on the new PS3 model today. Much like the details on the new
PlayStation 3, everything on the Nokia device is classified as
"confidential" and will not appear for public disclosure until the
product is officially announced.
The FCC exhibit details no images, other than a line
drawing of the outline of the device and the FCC sticker that will be affixed
when it ships.
However, even with this vague information, the documents
submitted to the FCC shows that the device will have Bluetooth, WLAN and GPS
built-in.
The Nokia device passed all of the tests the FCC threw at it
so it shouldn’t be too long before it is officially announced and all the
specifications are announced as well. Engadget
reports that the device has no official name at this time, but will be an
Internet tablet only and has a similar size to the current Nokia N800. Nokia
has been offering non-phone devices featuring GPS and other functions like the Nokia 770 for a
while now.
