Prestigious award draws out the entire Apple design group

No matter how you feel about Apple or its products, one thing is certain, Apple knows how to design an attractive product. Apple was recently named the best brand and the best design studio of the last 50 years at the D&AD Awards, which is one of the world's most prestigious awards for advertising and design.

D&AD chief executive Tim Lindsay said, “The people, companies and brands celebrated tonight are the true visionaries of the past 50 years of commercial creativity. Their work has changed the way we live our lives, the way we communicate and the way we perceive businesses and each other."

The awards were given out during a dinner held in London. You might expect that Apple would only send head design guru Jonathan Ive to pick up the award. However, Ive and the entire Apple design team hopped a flight and headed to London for the awards ceremony. Apple sent the entire 16-member design team to the award presentation and the entourage followed Ive on stage to receive the award.

According to reports, this is the first time the Apple design team has ever attended an awards ceremony. To highlight how prestigious the award granted to the Apple design team was, the entire team not only went to the award show for the first time ever, but also went to the award show the same time Apple is focusing on the launch of the iPhone 5.

"If anyone wondered whether D&AD mattered, the world's most valuable company has flown its entire design team over," said Robert Senior, chief executive of Saatchi & Saatchi.

I see the philistines are out in force. Intellect is invisible to the man who has none. The same goes for taste and culture.

...if Apple flew the thousands of Chinese slaves to the awards presentation or gave them a $1. bonus along with their daily bowl of rice, for producing Apple goods so Tim Cook can be compensated to the tune of $700 + MILLION annually?

What a disgrace all of these slaveshop owners and users are!

10 people + a billion dollars. A bargain really
