Dell Direct Stores do in fact have service centers
Last week DailyTech reported that Dell had opened the
company’s first Dell Direct store in Dallas, TX, and is planning to open
another one in New York later this year. In the article I stated that it didn’t
appear that Dell had a service center at the store locations and that consumers
would likely have to use Dell’s support numbers for help with their products.
One of our readers, TWalsh, quickly pointed out to me that
the Dell Direct stores do in fact have service centers which was further
substantiated by a promotional video highlighting the store released by Dell on
the company’s blog. According to the
Video the service centers are fully staffed with trained Dell technicians and
will be able to deal with any problems customers bring their way including
ordering and installing broken components and dealing with software related
issues.
