Another high end Dell display surfaces, another few thousand techies salivate

The guys at Engadget might be in some hot water, but when it comes to monitoring obscure merchant webpages at 3AM, no one does it better.  Ryan Block writes that the new Dell 2407WFP is already available on the Dell Japan website (english) with specifications and prices.

Dell accidentally leaked specifications for the UltraSharp 2007WFP and 2007FP displays on the US website a few days ago.  The 3007WFP display was announced earlier this year, and the new 2407WFP rounds off the pack.  Rather than go with LG.Philips LCD (LPL) for the whole lineup, Dell opted for the Samsung LCD LTM240M2 panel -- just as the company did with the 2405FPW display.

Dell Japan claims a 6ms response time on this 24" 1920x1200 beast.  This is an unusual move for Dell since the company usually claims very conservative response times on panels, especially considering the manufacturer claims a 8ms response time.

Specification discrepancies aside, the 2407WFP is still a killer display.  We would be hard pressed to find a display with all of the inputs but Dell went one step further to also include a 9 in 1 card reader as well.  The 2407WFP may also come with optional 10W speakers.  Dell is expected to announce the new display (along with the 2007WFP and 2007FP) before the end of the month.
