Alienware curved seamless display

With a native resolution of 2880x900, I think they missed the mark. I would have seriously considered such a display if it had at least 1080 lines of vertical resolution. But as it is, if you watch 1080p video even in sidebar mode, you're going to have scaling issues and loss of resolution.

The Alienware display seems mostly a demonstrator at this point. The point where the displays are stitched together is very obvious if you're standing in front of it. After all, it's pretty much just a few widescreen TV's slapped together.

They get points for doing the curved approach though. I really like that -- can't wait for OLED!

It's for games not movies. It will probably be so expensive that anyone who could afford it will probably already have a large screen plasma monitor.

Dell 630i

As always, a midrange part (in general) is always in demand (8800gt anyone?). I might actually consider purchasing a 630i if it actually is midrange. I still don't like the case. the 700 series is a joke, too expensive for what u get. The 530 is too weak.

And then the 420 has a standard 3 gb ram, a 320 gb , and Q6600. That may be good for video editing and what not, but I don't need anything more than 2 gb of ram, a 250gb hdd, and a 6750. Not too mention that ugly case. Why can't all cases be like the p180's? why?

I just hope they get at least a 600 watt psu on there. i think the 420 has like a 425 watt or something, just barely enough to power everything without oc'ing.

found it:
http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetail...
under the 'ultimate enterainment' it says the model features a 425 watt psu as a fucking upgrade. i dont even want to think of what the stock is...

Oh and unlocked bios are important too. Nobody said you had to walk some noob through overclocking, just give them the chance.
