This revamped classic -- priced under $7 for the next two days.
The
new edition of the popular online shooter game,
Counter Strike: Source, is back with major expansions.
This updated version is a limited beta, now available for Steam on
Mac, and it offers PC Vs. Mac cross-platform play.
According
to the Steam website,
"Source blends Counter-Strike's award-winning teamplay action
with the advanced technology of Source™ technology. Featuring state
of the art graphics, all new sounds, and introducing physics,
Counter-Strike: Source is a must-have for every action game."
The
classic favorite adds 144 achievements; new lifetime player stats and
summary screens; new match player stats and summary screens; and a
new end of round display with MVP. Here, the MVP provides an
interesting fact about the player.
Players can
defuse bombs and face off in a pistol round. They can even
track kills and deaths and improve accuracy with each weapon.
CSS
also includes an updated scoreboard with new icons and visual style,
MVP stars, and avatar pictures. A new cinematic death camera,
new domination and revenge system, added avatar icons to voice chat,
a scoreboard, an end of round display and source engine updates round
out the newest perks of the game.
The new patch fixes up
damage issues and improves the HUD of the game. To celebrate the
updates, Valve Software is offering Counter
Strike: Source for more than 60 percent off.
