Voyager Air keeps you connected on the go
Corsair has unveiled a new product at CES 2013 called the Voyager Air. The device is described as the first all-in-one wireless mobile drive and home network storage solution. The storage device has a capacity of up to 1 TB and has an integrated rechargeable battery. It also has built-in Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB 3.0 connectivity.
The drive allows for the wireless streaming of video stored on the internal hard drive to computers and smartphones using a free Corsair app. The Voyager Air can also be used as network attached storage when plugged directly into a local network using an Ethernet cable.
No Internet connection is required for streaming video from the drive to devices equipped with the Corsair application. The drive supports 802.11b/g/n connectivity and has range of up to 90 feet. Multiple users can connect to the drive at once, and Corsair promises that the internal rechargeable battery is good for up to seven hours of streaming between charges.
The 500 GB version will sell for $199 with a 1 TB version available for $229. Both versions of the Voyager Air will be available in early February.

Isn't it sad that there is even a need for something like this due to the simple lack of SD card slots in more devices.

Even with a 64GB SD card, you can't store all the media you really want to in one place. With this you fix the problem once and for all, no more juggling files at home so you can watch new episodes, etc.
