 LG Spectrum
Spectrum has 4G LTE connectivity and 720p screen
LG is offering up some LTE lovin’ with its new Spectrum smartphone for Verizon Wireless’ network. The smartphone packs in a large 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720. The screen also has 520-nit brightness rating and promises great color reproduction.
Other than the slick screen, the smartphone boasts a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and supports Dolby Digital Plus. Unfortunately, LG has saddled the smartphone with Android 2.3, although it says that by the middle of the year it will offer an Android 4.0 update to users.
The rear camera is 8-megapixel resolution with LED flash and has the ability to record 1080p video while the front camera is a 1.3-megapixel unit. Naturally, the Spectrum has hotspot functionality with support for up to ten Wi-Fi devices.
Internal storage is 16GB via a microSD card and the slot supports up to 32GB cards. The phone can share media wirelessly with DLNA devices and has HDMI mirroring via MHL.
The Spectrum offers exclusive access to the ESPN ScoreCenter app. The app has a HD video feed with stats, images, and video for the user to enjoy. Other features include pre-loaded apps like Netflix and access to all the Google services you expect on Android devices.
The LG Spectrum will launch on January 19 and will sell for $199.99 with a new 2-year agreement and data plan via Verizon Wireless.
