Another Apple iPad accessory released weeks before the actual tablet's public debut
The
Apple iPad is still weeks away from release, yet more companies
announce iPad accessories. The latest company to unveil an iPad
product was Booq, which
recently introduced the Boa Skin XS iPad protector.
The case
uses Twylon to help increase impact protection, and the interior of
the Boa Skin XS has a simple non-scratch interior that helps protect
the iPad while its inside another case.
"With our proven
track record for creating stylish, functional laptop bags and
backpacks, and considering the limited cosmetic protection hard shell
or silicone cases offer, it's only fitting that we are leading the
charge with iPad accessories," said Thorsten Trotzenberg, Booq
CEO, in a statement.
The Boa
Skin XS is available now for $29.95.
I guess an iPad
protector is ideal if you don't have a notebook bag or backpack
designed with a notebook pouch or divider.
Booq bags
are designed by Jake Orak, young man who spends his days relaxing,
surfing and designing custom laptop bags. Orak and Trotzenberg
have created a very strong working duo, but I'm curious to hear what
you guys think about the latest Booq product. I'm still not
convinced consumers are willing to spend money on it, but we'll see
how the Booq Boa Skin XS does.
I think it's unbelievable how
Apple continues to create products that accessory makers absolutely
flock to. Each time a new Apple iPod, for example, is announced
to the public, dozens of products are immediately announced and
launched. The iPad has dozens of accessories ranging from cases
and covers to custom bags and speakers -- but it still hasn't been
released.
Are you willing to spend an extra $30 for an iPad
protector?
