Yeah, it's funny. I really wish DailyTech would create a new column on the home page for "Binary Heroes" just like there is a column for "Latest Blog Posts", "Most Popular Articles", "Latest Headlines", etc. It just think it deserves its own column. Maybe a few more artists could be found to include in the column...

Great idea. Also I don't like it how each one is its own article. Lets have a page where we can see all of them, newest ones first. Could we do that DT? Pretty please?

I'll see if there's something I can do. It might not be right away but hopefully before the end of the year.

I honestly think Bell Sym / Comcast are just the tip of the iceberg.

Word.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is going on in a much-more wide-spread fashion; they are just the ones who have been caught (or were dumb enough to say they were doing it in the first place).

I agree completely. It's a damned shame. But hey, at least I haven't encountered any
major
slowdowns... yet.

I was a Comcast costumer (the developer of the place were I just moved has an exclusive contract with AT&T) and I liked it's TV and Internet services and prices. Now I'm paying the same I payed Comcast for TV + Internet for a Phone Line and DSL to AT&T.
Even it was true that when I used shareaza a lot, Comcast crippled my connection; it's also true that I could never connect to shareaza through the AT&T DSL.

I have comcast in the Boston area. I download torrents usually at 1.2mb/s and upload steadily at 100kb/s with peaks of 300.

Yeah in Fort Wayne, IN, downloads I've seen were at like 1-1.2 MB/sec with Comcast.

Don't even get me started on Comcrap.
They shut me off a couple months ago, despite me never pirating or downloading anything illegally. I love some streaming tv channels, Comcast needs to get ready, as that is the future. What are they gunna do when people start streaming HD channels over the net? Time to get with the times.
I wanted to get DSL, but despite being in the heart of a city of one million+ people, somehow its not available to me (even though they advertise it all the time)
So I had to pull strings with a Comcast installer who's an old friend to get him to force the paperwork through to turn it back on.
First highspeed alternative to Comcrap gets my money. I want satellite anyway. More HD channels. I only use comcast cabletv because the cable + internet discount barely makes it worth it.
