eReader rumored to be announced next week
Rumors have been flying this week that Barnes & Noble was working on a new eReader to challenge the Amazon Kindle. The rumors first pegged the device to be built by Plastic Logic and feature a color touchscreen.
That fact was flat denied by Plastic Logic. Gizmodo reports today that it has been supplied with leaked images of what the Barnes & Noble eReader will look like. It seems that the rumors were correct and Plastic Logic was being truthful as well.
If the leaked images are to be believed, the device has the typical black and white eReader screen with a touch sensitive color screen underneath along the lines of the iPhone. The device looks very cool. Only images were leaked, there is still no word on pricing but from the looks of it, the thing won’t be cheap. The device is rumored to get an official unveil next week.
