The Arris Motorola SB6141 is a cable modem that can be used with a wide range of internet service providers. It offers good speed in an excellent stay cool design.

Many people are probably still renting their cable modem from their cable internet service provider. A better option for some consumer may be to buy your own modem.  The Arris SB6141 retails for under $100 and can quickly pay for itself in under a year.

DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) is an international telecommunications standard that is used to provide Internet access via cable modem.

The Arris SURFboard modem harnesses the power of DOCSIS 3.0 technology to bond up to 8 downstream channels and 4 upstream channels.  What this mean is that you can get advanced multimedia services with data rates of up to 343Mbps download and 131Mbps upload.  

This modem is perfect for things like streaming HD Video, online gaming, shopping and downloading.
